The
Sea of Storms mud is based upon the world of Robert Jordan's "Wheel of
Time" fantasy series. It is not required for players to have read the
series of novels, but it is expected for all characters to act
according to the culture and belief structures defined in the books. In
addition, since the world in which the Sea of Storms takes place is a
mirror world, or a world where certain key events didn't take place or
have not taken place, it is important for players to understand some of
the cultural history and historic influences of the world. In other
words, we strongly recommend reading the books.
Roleplaying is the main focus of The Sea of Storms. It is a required
factor of the game and is enforced both by our codebase as well as our
imms. Roleplaying provides the foundation of all things, so when in
doubt about something most likely the answer will be to role play.
